Once upon a time in a far away land,
There was a young girl who dreamt of a man,
Each night as she closed her eyes,
There she'd find him, his features disguised,
Each and every night this was the way,
Wishing he was real but behind closed eyes he'd always stay,
One night she dreamt again of his form,
She smile as this was always the norm,
But on this night the dream it did changed,
For the first time, their lips met, it didn't feel strange,
Unable to see his face yet she still knew,
By what she felt, their love was true,
She didn't know this stranger but it felt so right,
His kiss, his touch, holding her tight,
Every day she hoped he'd leap from her dream that eve,
And become her love in reality,
Never believing this would truly come to pass,
She clung to her covers begging for each dream to last,
Then one beautiful day,
The man from her dream came her way,
She didn't know how she knew this was so,
Since of his exact features she did not know,
But of his touch, his smell and his presence she couldn't forget,
Since he was the most amazing guy she'd ever met,
Stunned and amazed, he stood there before her,
Tall, dark, strong, his smile made her shiver,
She didn't know his name, and neither did she care,
She'd find out somehow, she'd somehow dare,
Dare to speak of her dreams, her hopes and her love,
Risk heartbreak for a chance of,
Of a dream come true,
To feel his kiss, his touch upon her too,
She spoke to him a last,
Her knees shaking, heart beating fast,
Months had flown by,
Bit by bit she became less shy,
Learning each others secret thoughts,
Taking their time for this court,
Then she decided, she could no longer wait,
She knew she was in love, and couldn't risk being too late,
She'd missed so many chances,
Watched two too many courting dances,
Seen relationships of his come and go,
All the while her feelings did nothing but grow,
Her heart ached every time she stood on the side,
While he kissed another possible bride,
So she took him aside to see how he felt,
As he told her, her heart started to melt,
Disbelieving she was awake,
She pinched herself as her knees did shake,
What came next made her stomach fill,
Butterflies to the brim, she'd never felt such a thrill,
He spoke of his feelings, but seemed to think she didn't feel the same,
So she looked in his eyes, wishing she could tell him she felt the same,
Her fears caught in her throat,
She wanted to tell him she loved him the most,
All she could say was "How do you know unless you ask?"
Her fists held tight, preparing for him to laugh,
But he looked at the floor, truth in his eyes,
And asked her the question, she once replied with lies,
Rushing from within, her response leapt from inside,
No turning back now, she could no longer hide,
The shock across his face,
Caused her to be amazed,
Happiness bubbled within,
As he life with him was to begin,
Ten months later,
They still live happily ever after,
Still working through hard times,
Knowing that forever their heart would intertwine,
This girl continues to dream each and every night,
Same guy, same place, future in her sight,
Yet now there's a twist, an improvement, a perfection,
The man she dreams of is no longer full of confusion,
He now has a face, a reality, a name,
Yet the man she dreams of is still the same,
From now until forever she'll continue her dreams of you,
Because you will always be... her dream come true.
"I know this is long... But I hope you enjoy. I dreamt of a guy but he didn't have a face... I could feel everything... But didn't know what he looked like.. till I met my boyfriend.... Now my dreams are reality and a piece of reality will always be in my dreams... Now my dream guy has a face and a name. And strangely enough... the kisses in my dream and my first kiss with my boyfriend felt exactly the same. That's how I know we're meant to be. I love him. You might not believe in this type of stuff... and i don't always but I do believe in this. love always xxx"
