Future For Us

by Lauraballz   Jul 16, 2005

The not too distant future,
Is not too far away,
But I’ll keep dreaming of our dream,
Until that very day.

That day where love will be the walls,
Which build our humble home.
That day we bid farewell to doubt,
And know we’re not alone.

Where happiness is all around,
In everything we do.
Where not a single day will pass,
Without an “I love you.”

A simple house built in a place,
Where no one else will be.
Where we are untouched by all things,
Except for you and me.

No one there to give us rules,
To do just what we like,
To place an order on the storms,
And tell them not to strike.

Fields afar stretched round our home,
Where we could lie all night,
While gazing up at crystal skies,
Admiring all in sight.

A fire burning red and black,
To keep us warm in cold,
And even when its warmth should fade,
You’ll have my hand to hold.

Whatever harm could come our way,
I swear I’ll take it all.
I’ll hold you through the fearsome times,
And catch you when you fall.

Although we both may sleep at night,
I’ll stay awake for longer,
To watch your eyes give way to dreams,
And feel my love grow stronger.

I’ll stay up just to see the sun,
Before the morning breaks,
To see it rise upon your face,
And watch you as you wake.

As long as you stay here by me,
I promise I’ll love you,
And loving you is easy,
Because of all you do.

**For My Pete**

Hey Laura, you're writing seems to have just gotten better and better. I haven't really written much lately, just been experimenting copying structures. Keep up the work xxx
