The Mistake

by Thomas Key   Jul 17, 2005

You know when you make a mistake,
you can feel it in your soul,
a sad, depressed feeling,
a hurt feeling.

Ive made too many mistakes in my life,
too many sad, depressed feelings in my soul.
too many hurt feelings,
too many mistakes.

Probably my largest mistake was coming back up to Washington.
I used to be In Sunny, California.
Busy as a bee,
hanging with the best friends Ive ever had,
the best time of my life,
when I had everything I ever wanted,
friends, something to do,
A life.

I made the mistake,
I took a plane back up to WA,
I left everything being,
My friends,
my life.

Now I'm overcome with sadness,
I could have stayed for another 5 months,
instead I left,
I left Everything.

And now
I hate myself for it,
It will take a long time to recover,
because I miss all my friends,
and I always will.

So in closing,
Don't make the same mistake,
don't leave what you have if its everything you ever wanted,
because you will not be able to get there again,
I know I wont.
