Dreams

by Thomas Key   Jul 17, 2005

While we are children,
we dream of flying in space,
of being president,
of being just like our big brother or sister.

I never really had a dream like that.
My family says that I act too old for my age,
that they miss the old me
the me when I was a kid.

Well,
My dream as a child was joining the navy,
and passing my father's rank.

My dream was to be in control,
and to be in command.

But then as my childhood progressed,
my dream changed,
from joining the navy,
to becoming a husband.

Finding the girl of my dreams.

I tried countless times to find her,
and I always failed,
until I found her.

My dream is still almost the same.
I want to be a husband,
the best in the world,
I want her by my side,
and I want to be with her,
forever and ever.

I want to hold her,
and care for her,
for the many ,
many yeas to come.

And I will,
That is my dream,
My only dream.
