The Accident

Just two days ago,
The girl I love,
was in a car accident.

She was a passenger,
in a car
that was hit by a truck.

She wasn’t seriously hurt,
either was the driver,
But the door was smashed in,
so much that glass was thrown through the car,
and the door no longer opens.

That accident put things in a new perspective.

She could have gotten hurt,
I could have lost her.

I get on my knees,
every day,
thanking god,
that shes still here.

I tell her,
everyday,
how much I love her,
even though
no words can say how much I do.

That accident showed me what could have happened,
it showed me just how much she means to me.
I started to cry when she told me what happened,
it hit me hard.

I love her with all my heart.
and I wouldn’t know what I\'d do
if something happened to her.

So,
I’m going to make sure
that nothing happens to her,
At least,
nothing I can stop.

I love her,
and I’m going to do everything
no matter the cost,
to be as protective as possible.
To be there,
to make sure nothing happens.

That’s a promise.
