The Two Of You

by Thomas Key   Jul 17, 2005

Ever since that time,
ever since those days,
things between you two went downhill.

I can tell that your sad a lot of the time now,
I can hear it in your voice,
i can hear it in your tone.

It's really none of my business,
yet you told me about it anyway,
I asked what was going on,
and you told me what was going wrong.

The two of you used to be so close,
the best of friends,
near twins.

Now things are different.
Things just aren't the same.
Things aren't going well,
between the two of you.

But I am writing this,
to tell you,
to let you know,
that I’m here.

I’m not changing
Not leaving
And never going to.

I'll always be here,
to let you use my shoulder,
to cry upon.

I love you,
and I always will,
and I'll always be around,
I'll always be there for you.
No matter what.

So don’t stay sad,
Don’t stay mad,
cause I’m here now,
and I’m here to comfort you,
and tell you it will be alright.

So put your hand in mine,
and let your head rest on my shoulder,
and i'll still be there,
after you two work it all out.
I'll always be here.

Always.

Thank you Babe... yeah, things with her and I are going more downhill everyday, I'm afraid. I dunno if things will ever be ok, and I KNOW they'll never be the same. I know you'll always be there, thank you! xoxo. I love you!!
