Yes or No

Passing through hallways at school
Passing notes, breaking the rule
You passed me one
Hearts around my name
I knew out love had begun
As the end of school came
I read it over and over
The way you asked
This isn’t middle school anymore
It was so cute I had to adore
It said “do you like me “yes” or “no”
I gave you a note back
It said “maybe so”
When you read it you laughed
“Come on give me an answer”
I smiled “ok yes I like you”
“That note was the only was I knew how to ask you”
Then he smiled
“So you’re my girlfriend”
I smiled “yes ‘till the end”
