Melissa is your little princess,
Leon is your only little man
You see yourself in Joyce’s eyes,
And what am I,
I am the one who reminds you of the men you hate with your whole heart,
I can’t help it I’m just like daddy
But the memories of him you have to face everyday are tearing you apart,
But finally I’m ready,
To see That that is why you hate me, that’s why you treat me differently
I remind you of a person you're trying to forget,
who is just like me.

It’s not hard for everyone to see
I have his eyes, his nose, his skin
I even think and act the same way he does,
But dear mama, I can’t help it, it ain’t a sin..
I feel the same way for you as he does,
I feel guilty for hating you
Now I’m getting older and I notice,
I don't think you do..

I see it in your eyes when you look at me
You don’t see who I am, you see him.
