London's Struck

by Laloser05   Jul 17, 2005

The wheels turn,
The clock will chime.
Such a masterpiece,
To tell the time.

The busy streets,
Full of people moving.
Roadworks, On the street,
They're improving.

Set the bomb,
On bus or train.
Explosives,
Causing immense pain.

They hit the country,
unaware.
Their concentration,
Wasn't there.

Chime by chime,
The clock strikes nine.
The busy underground,
Full of people dying.

One and Two,
It could have been you.
Three and Four,
There were no more.
