Death's silent disguise

by DarkxBlood   Jul 17, 2005

all alone i stand
with nothing but my tears
the stench of death is in the air
and playing on my fears

i was tossed out into the cold
with nothing under me
so for days i keep on falling
until landing finally

on piles of clotted blood
from old corpses i cant see
they were waiting to be chosen
and now they've chosen me

now im sprinting from the words
that still echo from my past
and i am hiding in the shadows
that the unworthy lame ones cast

their fingers are gripping for the grass
to keep themselves alive
but one good shake and they let loose
and to hell soon they arrive

now im dying from the shocks
the electricity travels my veins
one last jolt, my eyes go blank
and the seizures go insane

dead i lay
sprawled on the ground
unchosen and forgotten
and then never to be found.

This poem is brilliant. It is very dark and slightly morbid, but very very emotional and generally fantastic.

    Keep up the great work.
