What is the answer?

The darkness inside just wants to come out

Repress and discard, don’t even find what It’s about

The music plays on and I drown out the pain

Escape to a world with no need to explain

This feeling is eternal when it needs to be deserted

But still I ignore it and it needs to be asserted

And there’s nothing I can do and I want to explode

And I run and I run down this winding, crazy road.

Then I reach the end with no answer in sight

And still there is darkness when everyone else has light

I don’t know who you are, in turn you don’t know me

Now all that is between us is our negativity

And when the lights go down and the sun does die

One of us is thoughtful and the other seems to cry

Forever was our goal and I knew it couldn't last
both of us our trying to put the other in the past

As we both run down that winding, crazy road

You reach your destiny and I’m out in the cold

I’m left behind and this all is my fault

And still I lock my feelings in a way too tiny vault

Hoping and praying that all this is just a dream

But you brought me to reality and now I want to scream

All that I can think about is why this didn’t work

My friends have all abandoned me and now I’m left to lurk

Lurk in the shadows, lurk in the dark

Try to smack together rocks just to make a spark

And though I’m still alone and the answer hasn’t come

All my friends are all big loaves of bread, and I am just a crumb

This pain is just too much and it’s eating me like cancer

So I’ll just keep on walking until I find my answer.
