Sweet Revenge

by Laura   Jul 18, 2005

You never paid any attention to me before
But your eyes could not divert away from when I walked through the door
I know this because I saw you jaw drop to the floor
I changed so much you did not recognize me anymore

Human instinct is to fight or flight
So I hold your stare as I walk directly in eyesight
Bringing the feeling this may be a wild night
Revenge is sweet if it is executed just right

In the past you were cruel and led me on
You had a chance but now its gone
I didn't tell you when you did me wrong
I am over you now but it took this long

The good old days are over never to return
I will never forget the lesson I did learn
I was infatuated but now it is your turn
It is no lnger for you that I do yearn

The memories never faded
I was patient and waited
Until we were perfectly situated
Now it is your turn to be humiliated
