Everything Changes

Every tear I cry a tear for love,
Every mountain I climb a step closer I become,
Every thorn upon a flower,
Built into something meaning so much more,

Forever a word that does not exist,
Eternity a place never to escape,
To be with you is all I need,
Not an ever lasting commitment,

Each breathe consuming my lungs,
The air which keeps us alive,
Each day knowing you’re in reach,
Whenever I need you, you will be there,

Every angel has there wings,
When you meet me they had been broken,
You fixed them without a scar to trace,
Now I’m free to fly once more,

I want to lye by your side,
Feel your heart beat against mine,
Be covered by a warm quilt,
Keeping us close together,

I don’t have to close my eyes,
To see a wish come true,
All I have to do,
Is look at you,

To realise not all roses have thorns,
Not all skies turn grey,
Each petal upon a flower can re-grow,
And each night can turn into day.
