You don’t know
You don’t get it
You don’t understand where I’m coming from one bit
You don’t remember
You assume you know better, just cause you’ve lived longer

You, of course, get your way, because that’s how it is supposed to
be
Honor thy father and honor thy mother?

What if I entirely disagree?
What am I to do?
Go against my convictions for their overpowering authority?
Play along just because there was a time I called them “mommy”
and “daddy?”

Where’s the chalk?
Can You draw the line I shouldn’t cross?
Where does it stop?

Are You listening?
Hello? God?
Have You fallen asleep on me?
Am I really that boring?
Oh no, not again!

*throws pillow at God*

Hehe... Astonishing Poem.. The metaphorical meaning to this poem is excellent! The way you ask where the line is, from moving from teenager to Adult. The one you "shouldnt cross yet" Because you are still to young, underlined with the *Throws Pillow at God".... Simple, but twisted, so it can be understood in a metaphorical sense as well. Best Poem i have read so far!!!! Kind regards from Kane
