Hurry Up!

by Chelsea   Jul 20, 2005

Hurry up and sweep me off my feet, and carry me away.

Please do this without even a moment’s delay.

Before my world begins to twist and spin.

And reality finally begins to set in.

Please make me laugh like you always do.

Before I start to cry and get blue.

Let me know you made my last smile

Before you realize I'm not worthwhile.

Hurry up and sweep me off my feet, and carry me away.

Please do this without even a moment’s delay.

Before my world begins to twist and spin.

And reality finally begins to set in.

I feel guilty having the feelings I feel for you.

You might laugh but you have no clue what I’m going through.

To choose such an impossible thing.

When two friendships lie on such a thin string

Is it love of lust?

If I chose him, will he leave me in the dust?

Then she will be gone, out of my life.

All over this stupid strife.

Hurry up and sweep me off my feet, and carry me away.

Please do this without even a moment’s delay.

Before my world begins to twist and spin.

And reality finally begins to set in.

Please catch the tears as they fall.

Please put me back on my feet before I start to crawl.

Please tell me that it will be all right.

While I'm lying all-alone ever night.

Please stop loving me the way I know you do.

Even though the feelings I have for you have grew.

Hurry up and sweep me off my feet, and carry me away.

Please do this without even a moment’s delay.

Before my world continues to twist and spin.

And reality sets in.

Just leave me here.

Here with all my fears

I don’t need you anymore

No longer am I your chore

Oh Just leave me here.

Here with all my fears

My world has already began to twist and spin

And my unwanted reality, has already set in

Very nice poem...I really liked it b/c I am in a similar situation to what you're talking about. I would rather not discuss it though. Comment on mine plz!
