Love So Pure

What could have happened to a love so pure?
Something so beautiful, yet it's no more.
I thought this darkness I could escape, but when I did, you said it was to late!!!
I find this a little hard to digest,
how a love with such beauty is placed to rest!

Did I make up scenario's in my mind?
That you loved me and what you said all those times...
I thought I had past the stage of make believe,
where your inner self is easily deceived!
Maybe I'm to young to grasp the concept,
and still i don't understand why you left!

Why did you never tell me the problem?
So I could've made it right and so i could protect my life!
But you choose to hide in the emptiness you called home,
A place secure and prosperous until you began to feel alone...
This place called home, refers to your soul,
But the hatred and fear eventually consumed you whole!

What do I do now since you've left?
I cannot find a comforting reason that fits the best...
I never this is how it would end,
and my life from these demons I'd need to fend!
For this intoxication there are all to few cures,
I don't understand how this poison killed a Love So Pure!!
