My Beautiful Blade

I come home each day,
To your gleaming smile,
I gaze at you longingly,
We haven’t embraced in awhile,
With on soft touch,
The pain goes away,
You fix all the problems
That I had today,
Quick as it came,
The problems fade,
When I’m with you,
I’m never afraid,
Everything’s ok,
When you’re around,
To you my love,
I’m forever bound,
I dread the next time,
I must leave the house,
I’m always eager to return,
To my spouse,
Once I’ve returned,
From my life of charades,
I find my comfort,
In my beautiful blade.
