A paradise above none other I have seen

by Avrii Monrielle   Jul 21, 2005

I am on an island
I have all my family here
I see so many flowers in sweetest bloom
And I do not fear

Though there are gunshots there are roses
And I hear no real cars
The calls in foreign languages
That go so very far

Its free to smile here
It's the place that is truly free
I see a glimpse of paradise
Right before me

Every laugh I bring
Memories I replace
I do not need to remember
Those tears that ran down my face

I can relax and be happy
No time have I to waste
I must find out their secret
About this beautiful place

They all stare at me as I walk down the street
It's my turn to be a foreigner
It's really so discreet

Laughing is a gift
Just as wonderful as love
When you find out it's value
You will never be done

In every smile there is a frown
But every frown just wants to smile
Because deep inside you tell yourself
Why can't I be a wild child

Who lives in my own way
Gets to dance around
Makes my own choices
Drops tired to the ground

Are you smiling yet?
I almost am
We need something stronger
Man.........

So far it's being fun
I want to blow a kiss
Everyone loves me
The best of life's joy
Will always be free

Paradise is a beauty
We are granted with love
Forever noticed
And given from above
