ONE

by Setareh Ghanooni   Jul 21, 2005

all that must be said and done,
never utterly we did them, just one-
we washed our hands,
the fresh smell of liquid soap,
the apple tree and the taste of sin,
sat on a wooden bench,
talked of all that couldn't be seen.
All else we had to do-we never did
but one
and the one failed, i knew one would always fail.
