Mistaken for the Rain

by Mandy Lou   Jul 21, 2005

Cold water washes
These filthly reminders
Of a love I once believed in
From the depths of my soul

No one sees my tears
Mistaken for the rain
They will never know
Why all these tears roll

I will never tell
Of the pain you have caused
Let what you have already done
Go on and take its toll

My heart is no longer
What it used to be
The pain you have caused
Left me less than whole

Great Work! I really felt the essence of the poem, you used good language and it flowed excellently without the emphasis needed on rhyme. Good Job!
