Dying

by Satine   Jul 22, 2005

This poem is old - but I thought I'd put it in here anyway. And no, I'm not depressed anymore. =)
===============
Her skin is soft
Her lips are red
Her pale face shows the tears she shed

Her tears are dry
Her smile shows
But the only thing she really knows

Is that she no longer cries
Anymore
She only dies

All the pain hidden within
Deep inside
Is wearing her happiness thin

Her smile fades
As she watches the parades
Of happy people

Wishing she was one of them
Wondering if her heart will mend
Anytime soon
* * *
No more smile, no more tears
Driven mad by her own fears

She's just a cold gray stone
Living her life all alone

Waiting for the end of time
Wishing that the sun would shine
=========
Wow.. I must have been -very- depressed when I wrote that..
