I thought today of long ago
when childhood seemed so near,
of all the things we loved
and everything we'd fear.

I remembered nonstop chatting
and making trouble with you,
I thought of playing silly games
with a friend that was so new.

To be friends like you and I
takes effort from the heart,
but somehow i can't deny
this year has torn us far apart.

To never speak or talk to you now
is killling me inside,
to walk past you without a smile
brings sad feelings that I hide.

To know how it feels to lose a friend
is the worst feeling of all,
I don't know how i could have ever
let our friendship fall.

Your new friends are much better
I'm yet the "old friend" now i see,
when i look at u with them i think
"She used to smile with me"

I'm sorry for ever losing you
but I'll admitt I'm glad,
because you have given me
the best memories I've had.

So find your way my dear friend
but still I'll always plee,
if you should be gone for good
