Love Really Is...

I can talk to you about everything,
From whats happened in my day,
To the worries of my family.
But when I want to talk to you about how I feel for you,
Its then, I begin to back away.
I want to tell you so many things,
I want to say how much I love you to your face,
I want to be more open with you,
So you know I am here to stay.
But I can't do this alone,
I need you to open up too.
I long to have all night conversations with you,
Talking about us,
How great we are together,
How we really make each other feel.
I've come to realize that relationships are a shock,
They take hard work,
Determination to make them work.
So far this relationship has had so many ups, so many downs,
But I'm far from giving it all up.
I feel that is what love is about,
Supporting the person through whatever,
Not giving up on the first hurdle when times get rough.
