Still Running

by Christina Gomes   Jul 23, 2005

She makes the stars fade
the moon sink away.
She leaves the sky empty
with a darkness of grey
She closes her eyes
but its still there
Trying to run,
she's taking a dare.

Holding on tightly
but still letting go
Thinking too slowly
to ever know
Dreaming too much
of reality's lies
Thoughts corrupting
in her own cries

Lying alone
surrounded by cold
Trying to believe
all she's been told
Feelings unanswered
yet still there
Trying to see
who really does care

Running too fastly
she's missing it all
She's too far away
to hear their call
No turning back
It's all been done
This is her path now
Again where she runs.

I know its a little confusing, but please tell me what you think, thanks.
