The fallen one

by katie!   Jul 23, 2005

From the pearled gates of heaven comes the angel out of touch
Cast out from paradise and thrown deep into reality
His red skin throbs gently in the bitter morning wind
The mournful tears trickle from eyes filled with tragedy

The parched desert winds a road cracked and broken
His blackened feet tread gently in no direction
Out of favour with those who rule all eternity
Rainclouds rapidly form above the old resurections

Mist forms with each silver breath he takes
The path shadowed as brittle promises are hurt
His wings unfurl as anger envelops his mortality
Screams shatter from his soul as he thrashes in the dirt

Fire erupts from volcanic insanity ripping through him
He begins to create a nightmare with intimacy
Brimstone rises up from the ground exploding to life
Demons flood from his fingers with horrifying delicacy

Sparks fly from his eyes with pure maniacal glee
Where once ashamed he is proud to be the angel that fell
His arms raise high in vengeance to heaven above
Screaming, "I am satan and this is my hell"
