Our hug

Here we are in a room, my heart flitters,
The room is cold and empty but your smile glitters.

I look into your eyes and somehow see your heart,
And an image of pure bliss tears me apart.

Given a second for quick conversation,
All on our own, I feel a perfect sensation.

Other people mill around but I’m focused on you,
Have a chance to make a move but what do I do?

So I give you a quick hug, pretending that’s what you require,
But I did it for myself; I needed to feel your touch and desire.

And although just a moment, a glimmer of touch,
It’s just what I need, what I have missed so much.

It happened once before, but this one I’ll treasure,
Because it brought me great feelings, of pure pleasure.

I remembered every second, since the day we first met,
Our hug was so perfect, one I’ll never ever forget.
