Time to step up

by SammiBABY   Jul 24, 2005

Around uncertainty and doubt I awkwardly dance
Knowing that now it’s time to take a chance.
There’s so much to lose, but even more to achieve,
But the fact I can pull through get so hard to believe.
But I’ll find a falling star and take it for a ride,
And even if it crashes I know I have tried.

I have lived in security, for more than a day too many,
Knowing success is impossible if you don’t try for any.
So as I stay away from the hay, thinking there could be a spine,
I stay so far from you, wondering if you’ll ever be mine.
But I’ll come out of my dark cave and battle for light,
And even if I lose I know I took the risk to get it right.

This may never happen, but failures better than regret,
I know if I don’t try I will never really forget.
So what if I’m hurt from you and your rejection,
If I don’t get this out, I’ll live in dejection.
And I’m sure I’ll get hurt, deep down I know,
It’s time to step up and give this a go.
