Just words

by Tamara   Jul 24, 2005

A promise broken is simply a lie protected by a word
When the truth is never revealed, the lesson is never learned

A heart unbroken by a lie not told is never cautious
However one broken by honesty can never again learn to trust

Words are manipulative, sometimes there true but sometimes there not
You have no way to tell so you except what you’ve got

Trust is a tight rope
One impossible to walk without a little thing called hope

A guilty conscience is a broken record constantly replaying every detail of a wrongful act
A loving heart is a promise of faith but to others just a worthless fact

The answer is always hidden deep in the most restricted places of a persons soul
The parts of their hearts not yet reached by the rest of the world, the only thing that keeps them whole
