When I was around you I felt a bond,
Something I have never felt before,
It made my heart beat faster than ever,
And after a while made my head feel sore.
No matter what I could not sleep,
I tried but this feeling kept me awake,
And after I had fallen asleep,
I woke with a sudden shake.
I opened my eyes and pictured you there,
I could see you vaguely in my view,
And then said but your my best friend,
And how the hell could it have been you.
But now we have split and our friendship has gone,
I realised what I could of got,
Not a best friend but something more,
Something I would of never forgot.
It would of loved me and I would loved it too,
If I could delete those things I would,
But now I can truthfully say,
That feeling must have been love.
