Two Desolate Lovers

by FNO   Jul 25, 2005

Open your eyes and fear what life has brought
Pain, secrets, and one lie
Has brought us to shame
Enough to hide

Open your eyes and see the pain you ignore
Hiding in a cover
A protective shield
The pain of two desolate lovers

Open your eyes and tell the secrets you keep
Wronged are the innocent
Injustice pending
Sinners of love that never repent

Open your eyes and see the lie this is
Truth behold
The lie is near
Listen to me as I stand in the cold

Open you eyes and fear what we've done
Breaking the lover's trust
Pain, secrets, and one lie
Caused by the love of a lover's lust
