A lonely girl's battle wounds

by DaNi~GrL   Jul 25, 2005

A lonely little girl inside
With so many secrets she must hide
She has a boyfriend the best she could
But still has the battle wounds of a war she could not win

She walks around smiling
Pretending life is great
But she comes home and lays in bed
Letting the tears drown her face

All the memories run through her mind
But she is a changed person
She would have sat up and grabbed the blade
But now she know that this must change

It’s hard to sleep at night
With out the comfort of the blood
It’s hard to get through her day
With the constant words that were being said

She was once a cutter
just a few months ago
But she made a promise
she would do it anymore

its hard to keep a promise with this constant pain
a pain that was given to her when it really mattered
a pain that no matter how happy she is
a pain in her heart that will never fade away.

She deals with the battle wounds
Of a sad and lonely teenage girl
She wishes that she could go to the past
And never give him everything in her world.
