Tears from the soul / Knowing

by enfant du tordu chagrin   Jul 25, 2005

I feel the tears well at my eyes
But I can’t let them out
They build and build with no release
And I begin to doubt

These are unlike normal tears
They come straight from the soul
And from what your absence left
A great and gaping, painful hole

I seem so incomplete
Like a part of me is gone
And my heart feels oh so heavy
With knowledge of what is done

Knowing that this pain won’t fade
Knowing you’re not with me
Knowing of my hopes for us
Knowing it’ll never be
