When we first met your perfectly formed smile caught my eye,
I thought ,"WOW,he is not a bad looking guy!"
We both were in a serious relationship,
Not knowing life would take us on such a wild trip!

I asked if you had a girlfriend and of course you said No,
You asked if I was single,a lied a little,but did not let it show.
At first I wasn't to interested,because my boyfriend and I were going on a year together.
But sooner or later,we finally admitted our feelings for our significant other.

You told me how much she meant to you,
I told you all the things he put me through.
I started to compare how different you and my boyfriend were,
Then my friend said she liked you,so i tried to hook you up with her.

You told me my friend was alright,
But she really wasn't your type.
You explained that you had a girlfriend,
And how you could not hurt her again.

I told you I had a boyfriend that I cared deeply for,
I said our relationship was not going well,and I needed something more.
I tried not to like you,
And tried to think things through.

But you can not help how you feel,
Especially when your feelings are so real!
I knew I could not do this to my friend,
Even though I knew you liked me because of all the signals you began to send.

The flirting soon became out of control,
And I could no longer play my friend for a fool.
So I told her how I felt,
She was angry at first,but in no time she delt!

But there was still a few things I needed to know!

Did my boyfriend still mean,to me,the world?

So the questions started to fly,
Who?What?When?Where?Why?
You soon ended it with her,
And no longer,for him,did my heart purr!

As time progressed,you and I grew closer and closer,
We were now friends,companions,and lovers!
Things were going better than ever,
Then something happened that I thought would never!

Without much notice,I had to move,
So I knew my love to you I had to prove!
I told you the news,knowing we would no longer be together!
But you then told me,if we really wanted to we could be together forever!

A few days past and I moved out of town,
After that,of course,we had our ups and downs,
But we still made it through,
Week after week,I would come and visit you.

By now we were in love,
Never holding back,not once giving our feelings a shove!
I had not been this happy in years,
For the first time-always smiles-no cries,no tears!

But one down fall is you had a life of crime,
and we both knew that someday you would have to do some time.
But I ignored that,
I stayed in the emotional state I was at.

Out of no where,that dreadful day had come,
The day my feelings all became numb,

I will never forget the things you said that day!
