The Waters, Fires, and Winds of Love

by K1n9d0m   Jul 26, 2005

To feel the warmth of the suns fire
Is to know the surroundings of the universe
Forever it evaporates my tears, and outshines the misery
Exposing the mysteries that dwell in personal caves

You are the sun
My sun
Selfish as can be
Only shine for me

Unsalted waters rage, understanding the veins of human emotion
From the pure ice of mountaintops, to the depths of crystal oceans
These waters flow knowingly, all the while whispering comfort to my ears
Forgiving sins, cleansing my thoughts without judging my actions

You are the rivers that flow
Moving forward to the unknown
Selfish as can be
Only flow to me

The summer breeze that blows can only be heard through rustling leaves
Felt, not seen, much like love and faith
The wind is always around, even when calm and still
Moving past plains, oceans, and people, only to touch me

Our love is that summers breeze
Always knew that our souls would meet
So as selfish as I can be
Please don\'t allow this love to blow past me

Now that, may I say, was definately a great love poem. It's definately unlike most of the other ones I've read, yet I like the metaphoric way of speaking in it.

The determination was clear all throughout the poem. Nice write, it was very inspriring.
