You are there for me through the good and bad
You always know the right thing for me
That's why I'm writing this poem for you
Mom now I'm noticing that when you tell me what
I can and can't do
Your only doing what's best for me
You've been my age so you know what to do
And what not to do
So thanks for always doing what's best for me
