She’d never done it before
Cutting, self mutilating, it was all new to her
One day she couldn’t take it anymore
She decided to see if she could pick up from her fall
She picked up her razor and it felt great
Her pain was something different now
The razor blade was her new best mate
She’d often come home from a bad day
She put the razor to her wrist and everything felt okay
She kept it to herself
No one would expect anything like that from her
She had a great family and five best friends; she seemed to have it all
Cutting was her escape
The only time from life she could have a break
The silver razor sliced through her blue vein
With more blood then she’d ever seen, she cried out in pain
Her last thought before she hit the floor
“This wasn’t supposed to happenâ€
Why didn’t she stop cutting before?
The next morning her body was found
She lay amongst her beautiful blond hair
Her blue eyes closed
Her skin was fair
Photos of her friends and memories lay around her
As usual she looked peaceful and graceful and calm
What would everyone say and do?
She was the girl that had it all
Behind her smile, her big blue eyes
They was something so much deeper
That only her act could hide
Her mother searched her mind for warnings and signs
But nothing came to mind
Her brother spoke highly of his little sister
“She was a great little young lady and I’m gunna miss herâ€
Her sister lost a part of herself, “she was my life and smile i guess I’ll get to see her in a little whileâ€
They all stood silent, heads bowed down her friends were hugging
What were they going to do without her?
Memories of their beloved friend blurred in their eyes
They watched her casket lay to the ground
Underneath the pink and white roses she lay somewhere sound
She would be somewhere better now
Somewhere where she could be herself, wear a smile not a frown
Surrounded by her friends and family
A whisper fell across the grave
Everyone trying to stand up tall and brave
Her brother’s voice spoke
“This wasn’t suppose to happenâ€
