Too Far Gone

by Some Random Human   Jul 26, 2005

I'm too far, I'm too far, I'm too far gone,
I just can't, I just can't, I just can't move on,
they say, "There are other fish in the sea",
but I only see one of them perfectly,
they say, "There are other trees in the forest",
but only one of them will flourish,
they say, "There are other leaves in the tree",
but only one of them never falls toward me,
they say, "There are other flowers in the bouquet",
but only one of them will never decay,
"There are other apples in the bushel" they say,
but only one of them is spotless today,

They said, "There are other fish in the sea",
but I only saw one of them perfectly,
they said, "There are other trees in the forest",
but only one of them flourished,
they said, "There are other leaves in the tree",
but now that green leaf lies beneath me,
they said, "there are other flowers in the bouquet",
but now all of them have withered away,
"There are other apples in the bushel" they said,
but now the sweetest apple is lying here dead,

I'm too far gone,
I just can't move on,
now that you're gone,
I can't carry on,
I'm too far gone...
