The Angel with Floppy Ears

by Weeping Wolf   Jul 27, 2005

*I dedicate this poem to Dimples, my friend's companion and one of the finest bunnys*~

It will do no good
To stand by his grave and weep
He’s not there or asleep

He’s the star that glows at night
He’s the shadow sitting beside you
He’s the butterfly soaring free
He’s now in eternal peace

He is not dead, not even gone
His body has just shed his physical skin
He knew you didn’t want him in pain
His soul has ended it suffering
So he decided it was time to leave
But he hasn’t gone forever.

Now he’s happy for eternity
In heavenly fields so green
Watching a beautiful sunrise
On a sea of florescent white clouds.

They all know him way up there
The white bunny with brown patches
He’s got two furry wings
And two little floppy ears

Don’t sit by his grave and weep
He’s not down there asleep
Don’t worry, he sees your sorrow
He’ll be back secretly by tomorrow
Your tears and cries he hears
He’s the angel with floppy ears.
