Worthless Heart

My heart has betrayed me yet again
By drawing me down this way
Once more, I find myself lost to the world
An unending, tormenting day

For me it seems night never appears
So that I may get some rest
The cause of this, my traitorous heart
Still beating inside my breast

I seem stuck in the glaring light
My being open for all to view
And though I feel some may understand
These seem few, so few.
