Regretful Sorrow

by Elizabeth   Jul 27, 2005

I wish I could take it all back.
It wasn't the physical attraction,
But the compassion I lacked.
I'm sorry for your pain;
Especially when our relationship started to wane.
I now sit in a pit of lonely despair.
Because I did not love you, nor care.
I believe you were a rose and I a weed.
And your thorns are what makes my heart now bleed.
I miss my one true love.
because when I was with him I felt like a beautiful dove.
And now every ounce of my souls cries out for you,
But unfortunately, for me, you found someone new.
I have one last thing to say,
Before we part and go our separate ways.
"I love you and I'm sorry"
