Silence And Solitude

by Cathryn   Jul 27, 2005

Silence swarms around,
And swallows up surrounding sound,
Do you ever feel alone,
Without a friend to call your own,
Stillness can either bring joy,
Or it can destroy,
There is a side,
That can abide,
The emptiness inside,
Silence helps clear the mind,
Or leave the past behind,
It starts a seed in new growth,
Internal and external both,
Giving a new sense of attitude,
This silence and solitude,
So go out loud and bold,
And put this silence on hold,
But peace is just a step away,
From where the true beauty will lay,
In the silence and solitude.
