Solitude. (Acrostic)

by Steven Beesley   Jul 28, 2005

Soul searching.
Ongoing solitary confinement.
Longing for companionship.
Isolated and all alone.
Tired of the deafening silence.
Uncomfortable with possible rejection.
Desperate for some conversation.
Eager to break the harsh monotony.

Acrostic:
Poem in which certain letters of each line make up words. Usually first or first and last of each line.

    "Tired of the deafening silence."

I found that line very interesting. Usually, people wouldn't use 'deafening' to describe silence, but you did and it suits the purpose well. Once again, nice job. I'm looking forward to reading more of your stuff.
