The Hardest Thing

Tracing your silhouette in a picture frame
Losing the memory my blood contained
As I lie weeping tears on the glass
I look deep into your mournful eyes of the past

Flickering light cast upon empty eyes
Stretching all beauty upon worlds of disguise
But underneath your white pure skin
Lies my heart painfully weeping within
And after all the tears you made me cry…
How can the hardest thing be Goodbye?

Has someone ever left you in the rain?
Left you crying in wounds of vain?
I was there, as you left me stranded
Cut to the core like a clone branded
Please look at me now can’t you see?
Underneath all this your darkness conceives
Your colour marks you black as death
To know the night has lost your breath
Colour so deep it will never grow old
Holding you prisoner of the emptiness you stole

    Jesus! That was amazing! This poem was so0o0 empowering!! OMG I'm actually lost for words! All I know is that I've been there before and that's why I think I liked this poem a lot..mostly because I can relate...I'm so sorry that you feel this way and you've lost someone dear to you....I think that hurts more then anything. This poem deserves a number way higher then five!!..but thats that you get frome me! great job expressing your feelings!
