Standing here i wonder
if you even notice
as you are falling under
and your sight is out of focus

i am reaching out my hand
to grasp hold of you
but I'm merely just a friend
and thats all i can do

watching you suffer
i feel your pain
and soon I'll grow tougher
but my friendship will still remain

i am no longer pulled down
by the weight i have carried
even though my friendship is not found
but instead covered and buried

stabbed hard in the side
because you just cant see
that i have tried
to be all you need me to be

years pass,months go by
still you don't notice
and it seems like a lie,
but I'll say this
