Somewhere Is My Dream

I lie awake at night, thinking without sleep,
I wonder if I'll see your face, or sit alone and weep,
I pray for you as always, and hope my prayers come true,
then I just lay a while, thinking about you,
thinking about how things were, and how they seem to be,
and realizing that if I were you, I would not want me,
once I finally fall asleep, I sleep without a dream,
my nights are blank and void, as I scream a silent scream,
my cries go unheard, my prayers are all I know,
so I'll pray once again, and hope to God they'll show,
on this night it is so quiet, dead or so it would seem,
lost within my thoughts, somewhere is my dream,
my dream is there with you, wherever you may be,
I hope that you can find it, and bring it back to me...
