drinking to be cool
when you really know you're being a fool
smoking to fit in
when you know you're committing a sin
taking drugs to make yourself feel okay
even though you know it will harden your day
drinking and driving when your friends are in the car
even though you know you might not make it very far
committing suicide because you feel you don't belong
even when you know you're really wrong
going to parties you know aren't right
even though cops might be in sight
the stupid things people do
will affect you
so just remember to be you
and make the right choices in whatever you do
stay away from the stupid things people do
and do the right things for you
