A little girl struggling to survive

by Jordan   Jul 29, 2005

Madison was born
Just 2 and a half pounds
14 little inches
She didn’t make a sound

Her skin was so light
That I could see her veins
And her mothers face
Made me feel so much pain

No one should have to see this
A daughters fragile state
I just prayed to god
Because He had held her fate

A teenage mother sits
She can do nothing but cry
Praying to god
That her little girl wouldn’t die

All hooked up to machines
She can hardly breathe
How can this happen? I ask
Do my eyes just deceive?

I get down on my knees
I say a little prayer
For anyone who will listen
For anyone who cares

“Madison Marie
Was put down in our world
Please we’d like to keep her
She’s a precious little girl”

A little girl is struggling
Just to survive
I don’t know what we would do
If suddenly she died

Her mother can’t bare the thought
Of loosing what’s now become her world
A fragile little soul
Her little baby girl

So please find the heart to pray
For this little girl to live
Because we have nothing more to offer
And nothing more to give

**Madison Marie was born July 26th weighing only 2 and a half pounds. 3 months premature...so please pray for her**
