So long I kept these feelings inside
I pretended they did not exist
As they consumed my mind
I was a slave to my dreams
My thoughts of you
Nothing is what it seems
Like a mirage in the horizon
My feelings I tried to share
But put simply
No one cared
So I lied to myself
And said neither did I
Though at night tears welled
And I began to cry
