Bringing the Nightmare

by Dayne   Jul 29, 2005

"I've made this somewhat horrible but powerful but I never wish this would happen-- an imagination from wandering mind"

I’ve been on your side for a long time,
And I don’t want to take it forever,
Coz these days I feel you’re fading,
Couldn’t hold yourself any longer.

You’re there on your bed like a dead,
And you enjoy your slumber a lot,
But you don’t hear the voices around you,
Hear me, will you wake up or not?

I don’t know if you’re just wandering,
While your innocent eyes are shut,
I don’t know if your other self clasps me,
To wash over me as I rot.

I’ve wanted to tell you something,
I’ve had a nightmare so tough,
Please wake up so I can tell you,
And both of us will painfully laugh.

It’s really been the weirdest dream,
We had a walk on a weather so tame,
You grabbed my hand and we headed,
To an old tombstone with your name.

You said I’m the one, who made it,
And you cried and backed away,
It’s a tomb with an open grave
A grave that can steal you day.

But that doesn’t mean anything, right?
Because I still hear you breathing,
I’ll steal you from Death if I could,
And I’ll stand by for your healing.

I still hope for the time of your revival,
From a slight move from your fingertips,
Even a slight jerk from your body,
And a color on your sealed lips.

Then lately your hand turned cold,
And your face dimmed in blue,
I wanted to shout, but swallowed my voice,
I’m stuck to my own damn glue.

We’re only two in your room,
I feel darned petrified and not fine,
My bloodshot eyes just stared at the device,
Now proudly displaying a straight line.

I’ve been on your side for a long time,
And seemed it won’t take forever,
Coz today I feel my eyes run dry,
Couldn’t feel you heartbeats any longer.

Did I make my own nightmare come true?
Would I say sorry and bitterly cry?
I could have run for help but I didn’t,
And all I did was to watch you die.
