My deepest toughts No. I

by alie   Jul 29, 2005

I can't really think of a way to start this poem, and I'm not the worlds greatest poet. I don't really even no if i would be considered a writer.
But what i do no what i am, and where i came from. I especially know my heritage and what my values are. I am not a materialistic person by any means. I am a half bread native American I also am a half breed English/ European/ French/ German/Scottish although i may not be full native by blood but i consider my self full blooded native American I am six nations Seneca and Cayuga on the six Nations reservation in Bradford Ontario Although i know very little about my full heritage i do know much more then any other half native person that was raised in a white world. And i also know that i have a very rich heritage because my father and my grandpa and grandma (grand pa and ma) were very important people. my grandpa (grandpa) was a Seneca chief. and my grandpa was a princess (as in daughter of her chief) and a princess (as in the wife of a chief)(my grandpa) and a clan mother, and a part of the native womans council. Those 4 positions are 4 of the most important things that any native woman could have. I take so much pride in my heritage. my father is the son of a chief and he refused the Honor being chosen as a chief but is still a very important and Honorable man. my father is one of the fewest artists that still make water drums and rattles for the long house and other functions such as pow wows. and i am a very fortunate to have inherited his talents as a great artist. I strongly believe that i have been given many gifts by the creator to share with the world as were we all when the creator blew the breath of life into us.

to be continued...

if you have any questions please feel free to ask and i will try to answer the best i can don't.
and please vote i would appreciate allot thanks
~Alie~
